About me
A little about me and what made me who I am today.
When I was a child, I remember myself playing for hours with my grandpa’s tools in his garage and I loved it. In the same way, I played with the sewing stuff of my both grandmas. I have always been very hands-on and enjoyed experimenting with art, paint, crafts and making use of all types of materials.
In 2004, I studied Visual Merchandising in Paris, at MJM Graphic Design school, and after two years of fascinating discoveries, I received my degree in Visual Merchandising.
Designing and realizing the decor of shop windows, stalls and exhibitions; creating mood boards; using different materials and paint effects, those two years contributed greatly to my artistic background. I have to admit that my favourite class was learning how to use polystyrene, wood, and all type of materials..
Since then I have worked on various independent art projects (visual merchandiser, interior designer, painter, chief set decorator…), as well as for some shops and boutiques. From each job I kept on learning new techniques.
I travelled a bit and on the way I discovered few different techniques and materials. I kind of fell in love with tiles and mosaic. I started upcycling my mum’s coffee table, then my grandma’s bistro table, then my brother’s TV table. I had some positive feedback. I simply continued.
I have always been attracted to London and eventually settled into this fantastic city few years later. I feel like home in here.
Between 2010 and 2020, I have run art classes to children in the South of London (Clapham and Brixton). I loved teaching the children new techniques and new activities! Children are so creative and art has no limit!
In 2015, I created my Etsy shop online called Chez Juliet’, based on upcycling, recycling, second-hand. Everything is handmade by me.
I am based in South West London. I have an artist studio in Brixton, where I upcycle furniture and create home decor items.

Parlons un peu de moi pour vous expliquer comment je suis arrivée à ce que je suis maintenant.
Quand j’étais petite, j’aimais passer des heures dans le garage de mon grand-père et utiliser ses outils, de la même façon que j’aimais jouer avec les boîtes à couture de mes deux grand-mères. J’ai toujours été très manuelle et toujours aimé les arts créatifs en utilisant peintures et différents matériaux.
En 2004 j’étudiais à l’école MJM Graphic Design, à Paris, en section Visuel Merchandising. J’y obtient mon certificat après deux ans de superbes découvertes et de créations. Concevoir et réaliser des décors pour des vitrines de magasins, stands et salons, créer des planches d’ambiance, utiliser différentes sortes de matériaux, d’effets de peinture… Ces deux années m’ont beaucoup apportées.
J’ai depuis travaillé sur divers projets artistiques en indépendante (visuel merchandiser, décoratrice d’intérieur, peintre, chef décorateur sur court-métrage..) mais aussi pour quelques boutiques et magasins. De tous ces projets j’ai continué à apprendre.
J’ai pas mal voyagé et sur la route j’ai découvert différentes techniques et matériaux. J’ai beaucoup aimé le carrelage et la mosaïque. J’ai commencé par transformer la table basse de ma maman, puis la table bistro de ma grand-mère, et enfin la table télé de mon frère. J’ai eu pas mal de retours positifs. J’ai donc continué.
Entre 2010 et 2020, j’ai animé des ateliers créatifs pour enfants dans le Sud de Londres (Clapham et Brixton). J’ai adoré leur enseigner de nouvelles techniques et activités. Les enfants sont tellement créatifs et l’art n’a pas de limite!
En 2015, j’ai crée ma boutique Etsy en ligne Chez Juliet’. J’aime donner une seconde vie aux meubles et j’aime le détournement d’objets. Chaque article est crée par moi. Je suis maintenant installée dans le Sud Ouest de Londres. J’ai mon atelier d’artiste à Brixton où je retape des meubles et crée des objets de déco.
